Egyptian PM holds meeting with Saudi investors

The Egyptian Prime Minister, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly held a meeting with a number of Saudi investors in the presence of the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Arab Republic of Egypt Osama bin Ahmed Naqli , the Chairman of the Saudi-Egyptian Business Council, Bandar bin Mohammed Al-Ameri, and a number of Egyptian officials on Wednesday.

During the meeting a number of different challenges and problems facing Saudi investors were reviewed.pt.

In a speech during the meeting, Dr. Madbouly spoke about the importance Egypt attaches to meet the demands of the investors and solve their problems, in addition to creating a more attractive climate for investments.

In turn, the Saudi Ambassador Osama Naqli expressed his thanks on behalf of the Saudi investors, for the rapid and continuous communication and response to holding such meetings.

The insulin glargine injecta BASAGINE developed received approval for registration (Reg. No. 111178) by the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP), China Economic Net (CEN) reported.

According to the company, it is the first insulin glargine injection (prefilled injection pen) biosimilar drug in Pakistan.

Insulin glargine injection is an essential long-acting insulin analogue product in the treatment of diabetes for its efficacy and safety.

In Pakistan, 33 million people aged 2079 were living with diabetes in 2021, ranking third in the world after China and India. The prevalence of diabetes among adults aged 20-79 in Pakistan is 30.8 percent, the highest in the world, as per the latest data released by the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) Global Diabetes Overview 10th Edition (2021).
