Ocean reflections

Photographer and artist Sonia Payes (below) took this glassy image of the ocean off the coast of Papua New Guinea. The Australian finds inspiration in PNG and has travelled there four times. “I’ve taken some scary trips to get the image I want … challenging helicopter flights so I can get photographs of the earth and sea at unusual angles, and scuba diving at some very rugged locations,” she says.
