The Busi­ness Travel Cen­tre (BTC), a sub­sidiary of Air Ni­ug­ini, has opened its doors at Port Moresby’s Har­bour City. The cen­tre of­fers travel agency ser­vices in­clud­ing air, ho­tel and ac­com­mo­da­tion book­ings, as well as rental car hire.

The busi­ness is Air Ni­ug­ini’s sec­ond sub­sidiary com­pany, af­ter Link PNG.

Air Ni­ug­ini chair­man, Sir Fred­er­ick Rei­her, says the BTC has highly skilled in­ter­na­tional travel con­sul­tants who use the lat­est on­line book­ing tools. The of­fice is open seven days a week, with ex­tended work­ing hours from 8am to 8pm.

“In a sig­nif­i­cant ad­vance in the ‘on­estop shop’ con­cept for Air Ni­ug­ini, the cen­tre of­fers tick­et­ing for all air­lines, ho­tel book­ings, rail book­ings, car hire book­ings and all the other ser­vices the mod­ern-day cor­po­rate client de­mands. This will in­clude ‘self ser­vice’ kiosk op­tions for the fu­ture.” ■
