Queensland’s Hayman Island back in business
Australia’s iconic Hayman Island has re-opened after a two-year, $AUD135 million refurbishment. The new InterContinental Hayman Island Resort promises a high level of island luxury, from the suites that include their own plunge pools, to helicopter rides over the Great Barrier Reef, and five restaurants inspired by local flavours. There’s a day spa, of course, which even includes meditation and energy healing practices.
The new resort, formerly branded under the ‘One and Only’ banner, has 166 rooms, all with views of the Coral Sea.
