DIESEL ENGINES RECEIVE AMTEC CERTIFICATION
TWO POWERFUL DIESEL ENGINES have been approved and certified by the Agricultural Machinery Testing and Evaluation Center (AMTEC). The Boer BRT125DI and Nexpro NP186FA diesel engines received high evaluation marks from AMTEC for their quality and dependability.The former can water farms for 24 hours straight. This means allday, allnight, nonstop work until the entire farm has been served. On the other hand, the NEXPRO NP186FA can run continuously for up to eight hours, enough for a day’s work.
While both engines can work on water pumps, they can also used for hand tractors and generators.
“So with one engine, you can do a lot,” assuresFlorante Dela Cruz, president of My Happy Farmer Corporation, which brought the two engines to the country. Dela Cruz says that they realized that the farming cycles were changing, with more farmers aware that they needed to secure their operations and families with a constant source of income.
“We have been receiving complaints from farmers [who said that the farming season was much shorter],” Dela Cruz says. This meant farmers were planting less on their lands, and so the company decided they had to help the farmers prepare even for the unexpected. “We understand the changing conditions and demands of the farmers, from unpredictable weather conditions to [unpredictable phenomena] such as El Niño and now, La Niña. Happy Farmer wants to equip our farmers with the best tools and provide them the best assistance [in protecting] their [sources of] livelihood.”
“[In] addition to its normal uses, with the investment [in] the Boer BRT125DI and NEXPRO NP186FA, [farmers] can have the extra income they are looking for. These diesel engines can power small vehicles too,” Dela Cruz explains. The BOER BRT125DI can be used for “kuligligs,”“habal-habal,” and trailer trucks. It is a four-stroke, water-cooled, single horizontal cylinder type of engine, making it more efficient than its contemporaries.
