SCENE ZONE A Pet Camp Out

Camping trips with pets are often not possible due to limited pet-friendly resorts and Transportation. But 350 campers had the pleasure of an overnight event, “Pets Camp Out,” at the rural highlands of Alta Rios Resort in Indang, Cavite.

Five free round-trip shuttle buses were provided to registered campers from all four points of Metro Manila to the unique getaway with their pets. Aside from the exclusive freebies given upon entering the event, free tents and barbecued meals were provided, as well as access to the resort’s recreational facilities.

Among the 350 campers who attended were several pet groups: Mini Pinscher Lovers Philippines, Boston Terrier Tribe Philippines, UP MMDA VANGUARD K9 Search & Rescue, Golden Retriever Club Philippines, Cat & Dog Fashionistas, CCP Pack, Mandaluyong Pack Leaders, and Cavite Husky Pack.

All campers participated in the Palarong Pinoy, fun agility course, and field games. The sunny and breezy weather was perfect for both the campers and pets as they escaped the heat of Metro Manila. At the end of the program, awards and raffles prizes were given away, and the night was capped off with a delicious dinner and a relaxing bonfire at the campsite for everyone to enjoy as they socialized. Those who were up early the next morning were treated to a guided tour with hiking and swimming on the trail within the resort.

Pets Camp Out was organized by Paws and Tails Event Concepts and Management supported by North Crew Events. Boehringer Ingelheim and Nexgard Spectra made the event possible, as Pets Camp Out is part of Nexgard Spectra’s series of events in promoting responsible pet ownership.
