Mas matapang na NU Bulldogs sa UAAP

NALALAPIT na ang pagbubukas ng basketball season sa UAAP. At ngayon pa lamang usap-usapan na ang paghahanda ng mga koponan, higit ang National University.

Sentro ng usapan ang Bulldogs nang kumalat ang alingasgas sa paglipat ni reigning two-time NCAA MVP Allwell Oraeme.

Ngunit, mariin itong pinabulaanan ni NU coach Jamika Jarin.

“We don’t have Allwell Oraeme,” pahayag ni Jarin sa Balita.

“As far as I know, he’s still with Mapua.”

Iginiit ni Jarin, 47, na sa kabila ng pagnanais na mabago ang sistema ng Bulldogs, magagawa nila ito na wala ang premyadong si Oraeme.

Kumpiyansa si Jarin na makakarating ang Bulldogs sa Final Four ngayong season.

“We’re happy where we at right now. But we cannot be satisfied. We keep telling our boys that there’s no secret to success. It’s all bout hardwork, the sacrifices, doing the little things to improve and help the team,” aniya.

“We cannot rely on one person. We need 16 players to perform and do all the necessary things to win. Togetherness and being selfless are the right formulas to be competitive in the coming UAAP wars.”

Sumabak din ang Bulldogs sa dalawang linggo na pagsasanay sa pamosong IMPACT Training Center sa Las Vegas nitong Abril.

“You can fast-track a lot of things. But the experience of playing together and in a new system, you cannot fast-track that. We’re just doubling our efforts. We’re still taking baby steps, but come UAAP, we will be ready,” pahayag ni Jarin.
