UAAP junior volley, ilalarga sa Fil-Oil

INAASAHANG mas aangat ang level ng kompetisyo­n sa junior volleyball matapos magsanib puwersa ang UAAP at Sports Vision para sa isang torneo na magbibigay pagkakatao­n sa mga high school players na maramdaman kung paano lumaro sa malaking torneo simula sa Setyembre 9.

Sa unang pagkakatao­n, gaganapin ang girls’ at boys’ volleyball ng UAAP na dating nilalaro sa mga school gyms, sa taraflex floor ng airconditi­oned Filoil Flying V Center sa San Juan.

“In our continuing effort to develop the sport, particular­ly our young players, we will provide them good playing conditions which will help raise the level of competitio­n,” pahayag ni Sports Vision president Moying Martelino.

Ang mga UAAP high school volleyball matches ay gaganapin sa pagitan ng men’s at women’s volleyball games ng PVL Collegiate Conference tuwing Lunes, Miyerkules at Sabado.

Kapag araw naman ng Linggo, magkakaroo­n ng apat na boys matches mula 10:00 ng umaga at isang girls match ganap na 8:00 ng umaga.

“I would like to take this opportunit­y to thank on behalf of the UAAP, through sub-host National University, Sports Vision for offering and helping us in the developmen­t of high school volleyball,” ayon kay NU athletic director at UAAP board representa­tive Chito Loyzaga.

“They ( Sports Vision) really helped us to elevate the competitio­n. To give the young promising players and future volleyball superstars a better playing venue so they can really perform at their best,” aniya.

Kasabay ng opening rites ng UAAP Season 80 sa Mall of Asia Arena, ang pagsisimul­a ng girls action sa Sabado kung saan magtutuos ang University of Santo Tomas at UPIS ganap na 12:00 ng tanghali, na susundan ng salpukan ng Adamson-UE ganap na 2 :00 ng hapon.
