Extradition ng Pinoy doc sa US, ipupursige

Handa ang gobyerno na pagbigyan ang kahilingan ng United States na isuko ang Pinoy na isa sa mga suspek sa napigilang pinlanong pambobomba sa New York.

Ayon kay Presidential Spokesman Ernesto Abella, ipadadala sa US si Russel Salic habang isinasagawa ang imbestigasyon sa umano’y pagkakasangkot nito sa pagdukot at pagpatay.

“The Philippines shares information and extends full cooperation with partners on matters pertaining to terrorism, and in the case of Dr. Salic will include initiating extradition proceedings being requested by the US,” sabi ni Abella.

“The preliminary investigation of the case against Mr. Salic will continue while extradition proceedings are being processed,” dagdag niya.

Ayon kay Abella, si Salic, sinasabing attending physician sa Maute group, ay kasalukuyang isinasailalim sa preliminary investigation sa Department of Justice ( DoJ) para sakasong kidnapping at murder. 6 NA BUWAN NANG

HAWAK NG NBI Sinabi kahapon ni Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Chief of Staff General Eduardo Año na anim na buwan nang nasa kustodiya ng awtoridad si Salic simula nang isuko nito ang sarili.

Ayon kay Año, si Salic, ang Pinoy na suspek sa napigilang New York terror plot, ay nasa pangangalaga ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) dahil sa warrant.

Base sa mga ulat, inakusahan si Salic, 36, natumulongsapagpopondo sa pagpapasabog sa New York Times Square, ang subway system at ang pinagdarausan ng konsiyerto sa New York.

Napag-alaman na pumayag si Salic na magpadala ng pera, sa pamamagitan ng Westren Union, upang makabili ng ilang suicide belts noong Mayo 2016.

Nakasaad din sa ulat na plano ni Salic na magpadala pa ng pera para sa New York terror plot.

“Russel Salic is under NBI custody since he surrendered last April upon knowing that he has a warrant of arrest. He was involved in terror activities by providing funds and donations to suspected terrorists in the Middle East, U.S. and Malaysia from 2014 up to 2016,” sabi ni Año.

“Yes, he has been underwatch and surveillance for his suspicious activities in coordination with allied foreign intel agencies,” dagdag niya.
