I am not a rapist –Nelly
IGINIIT ng rapper na si Nelly na siya ay inosente sa alegasyon ng sexual assault matapos arestuhin sa kasong rape sa Washington state.
Isinailalim sa kustodiya at kinasuhan ng second degree rape ang Hot in Herre hitmaker madaling araw nitong Sabado at bumuwelta ang 42-anyos laban sa mga akusasyon na minolestiya niya ang isang hindi pinangalanang babae sa kanyang tour bus.
“Let me say that I am beyond shocked that I have been targeted with this false allegation,” saad niya sa kanyang Twitter account. “I am completely innocent. I am confident that once the facts are looked at, it will be very clear that I am the victim of a false allegation.”
Ibinahagi rin ni Nelly kung paano naapektuhan ang kanyang pamilya at mga kaibigan sa nangyari.
“I do want to apologize to my loved ones for the embarrassment and for putting myself in a situation where I could be victimized by this false and defaming allegation,” tweet niya. “I also want to thank my fans for their unwavering support. They know me. I assure you I will be vindicated. And I assure you, I will pursue every legal option to address this defaming claim.”
“In other words y’all know damm well I ain’t do no dumm S^*t like this..!! Love ..!!!!,” saad niya, bago nilinaw na hindi pa siya pormal na kinakasuhan sa rape charges: “To be absolutely clear. I have not been charged with a crime therefore no bail was required. I was released (from custody), pending further investigation.”
Kumbinsido ang abogado niyang si Scott Rosenblum na mapapatunayang inosente ang kanyang kliyente kapag nakumpleto na ng mga pulis ang imbestigasyon.
“Nelly is the victim of a completely fabricated allegation,” saad sa pahayag ng abogado sa Variety. “Our initial investigation clearly establishes this allegation is devoid of credibility and is motivated by greed and vindictiveness.
“I am confident, once this scurrilous accusation is thoroughly investigated, there will be no charges. Nelly is prepared to address and pursue all legal avenues to redress any damage caused by this clearly false allegation.”
Si Nelly, ang tunay na pangalan ay Cornell Iral Haynes Jr., ay nakatakdang magtanghal sa Ridgefield, Washington noong Sabado ng gabi bilang bahagi ng kanyang ongoing tour kasama ang country duo na Florida Georgia Line bago siya dinampot ng mga pulis.
Hindi ito ang unang pagkakasangkot ni Nelly sa mga krimen sa kanyang tour bus. Inaresto siya noong 2015 dahil sa felony drug possession nang madiskubre ng state troopers ang narcotics paraphernalia sa kanyang personal tour vehicle.
