Pacific Games, winalis ng Pinay softbelles

ADELAIDE, Australia – Nakumpleto ng Philippine Blue Girls 17- under ang elimination sweep nang pangunahan ni Glory Alonzo ang 9-0 panalo ng Philippines sa Australia Capital Territory (ACT) sa softball competition ng 10th Pacific School Games dito.

Sinandigan ng 16- anyos na si Alonzo, pambato ng Domingo Lacson National High sa Bacolod City, ang ratsada ng Pinay softbelles para maibaon ang mas matataas na karibal sa Adelaide Shores sa West Beach.

Nadomina ni Alonzo ang mga nakaharap na batters sa unang laban ng Pilipinas sa bracket round match. Sa unang paghaharap, nakuha ng Blue Girls ang 2-0 panalo.

“The girls played with a lot of composure. They have adjusted well to the competition and the weather and hopefully, they can carry it through their next matches,” sambit ni head of delegation at Philippine Sports Commission ( PSC) Chairman Raymond Maxey.

Kasama ng Team Philippines sa bracket Pool A ang ACT, South Australia at Victoria.
