Solusyon sa Metro Manila traffic inihingi ng saklolo sa ibang bansa

Sinabi ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na nagpasaklolo na siya sa mga kalapit nating bansa dahil aminado siyang hindi kayang resolbahing mag-isa ng ating gobyerno ang “horrendous” na sitwasyon ng trapiko sa Metro Manila.

Ito ay makaraang sabihin ng Malacañang na mayroon namang solusyon sa lumalalang kondisyon ng traffic sa Metro Manila.

Sa kanyang pagtatalumpati sa Clark, Pampanga, sinabi ni Duterte na ang pagsisikip ng trapiko sa Metro Manila ay dulot ng kawalan ng wasto at sapat na imprastruktura.

“Traffic is really horrendous. We are living in a horrendous life. Unless relief can come somewhere else, we are stuck with it,” sabi ni Duterte. “Ang kulang lang natin is the infrastructure for mobility. But in due time, I think in the fullness of God’s, time we will have it.”

Aniya, lumapit na siya sa ibang bansa dahil naniniwala siyang hindi kakayanin ng Pilipinas na mag-isang resolbahin ang problema nito sa trapiko.

“I hope it would come even half of what they have offered so far. Kahit kalahati lang sana,” aniya, tinukoy ang ipinangakong pamumuhunan ng Japan at China sa mga proyektong imprastruktura sa Pilipinas.

“I went to China, started to move around and then to Japan and Korea. ‘Yan ang ginawa ko. Pero kung sabihin mo na mag-asa pa ako sa tayo-tayo, mahirap,” sabi ni Duterte. “Well, then we continue to suffer until such time that Japan or China, whoever gets there first to build the [infrastructures]—and if we have the financing, then we can move.” MASS TRANSPORT SYSTEM

Para sa Pangulo, ang pagpapatayo ng mga imprastruktura at pagpapabuti sa mass transport system ay epektibong magbibigay ng solusyon sa problema.

“But I think the most practical thing to do is really [improve] the mass transport system. And many are willing. It’s only a matter of the grid,” aniya.

Ang pahayag ng Presidente ay kasunod ng sinabi ng transport network company na Uber na papalubha pa ang sitwasyon ng trapiko sa Metro Manila sa susunod na limang taon.

Samantala, sinabi rin ni Duterte na pinag-iisipan din niyang palaguin ang iba pang industriya sa iba pang pangunahing siyudad sa bansa, dahil inaasahan niyang hindi na maisasalba ang Metro Manila sa susunod na 10 taon pataas.

‘DEAD CITY’ “Manila, I think, will be in about 25 years, will be a dead city. It will start to decay and there is no way that we can rehab the place,” aniya. “You cannot rehabilitate the place. You have to—baklasin mo ang Maynila to do that and there’s no more time and space for all of you who want to do something about it.

“You have to disperse the crowd, limit the factories at some time in the future. But about 10 years from now, they should close Manila and start to develop [other cities],” dagdag niya, tinukoy ang mga lugar na gaya ng Clark sa Pampanga. “So Manila is no longer an option for industries. They have to go to the provinces.”
