PCSO, malupit sa jueteng

ISINUSULONG ng Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office ang Small Town Lottery (STL) upang tuluyang masugpo ang illegal na jueteng,ayon kay PCSO General Manager Alexander Balutan.

Sa marubdod na hangarin ng ahensiya na maibaon ang jueteng ang dahilan kung bakit nakikipagkutsabahan umano si PCSO Board member Sandra Cam kay gambling lord Charlie ‘Atong’ Ang, ayon pa kay Balutan.

“We have achieved a record high STL revenue of up to P18 billion this year, from just more than P4 billion a year. Our STL is a potent source of income to finance the Dutertegovernment’s free medical services to Filipinos specially the indigents,” pahayag ni Balutan.

Ito umano ang nakikitang dahilan ni Balutan kung bakit pilit na dinudungisan ni Cam ang imahe ng ahensiya na institusyon na sa pagbibigay serbisyo publiko.

Naging masalimuot ang relasyon ni Cam sa PCSO Board nang tuligsain niya at pilit na ipamukha na labis ang ginasta ng ahensiya para sa Christmas party ng may 1,500 empleyado ng ahensiya.

“Kung matuloy ang hamon niyang imbestigasyon sa Kongreso, we will prove her wrong. Mapapahiya siya. Handa po tayong humarap sa imbestigasyon,” pahayag ni Balutan.

Sa kasalukuyan, ang PCSO ay kumita ng P2 billion mula sa STL na may 84 approved Authorized Agent Corporations (AACs).

“Maybe this week or next week to be sure, we will be reporting to the President and to the Filipino people the exact amount of our 2017 STL revenues. What we have for now is from January to November in the amount of P13,946,261,327.08,” sambit ni Balutan.

Aniya, ang STL ay hadlang sa operasyon ng jueteng.

“This jueteng pays no taxes to the government. It’s all money in the pockets of gambling lords like AtongAng and their protectors,” aniya.

“Sa STL and other lottery games ng PCSO like Lotto, Keno and Sweepstakes PCSO pay taxes. From January to November this year, nagbayadnatayong tax sahalagang P7,072,167,390.61,” sambit ni Balutan.
