3 sinibak sa DoJ, nameke ng pirma sa visa docs

Nadiskubre ng Department of Justice (DoJ) na pineke ng tatlong sinibak na tauhan ng kagawaran ang lagda ng mga opisyal sa pekeng dokumento na ginamit sa pagbibigay ng visa sa mga Chinese national, kapalit ng malaking halaga ng salapi.

Sinabi ni DoJ Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II na natuklasan ito sa isinagawang imbestigasyon ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) laban sa tatlong job order employee na sina Cyruz Morota; Abvic Ryan Maghirang, executive assistant; at Shigred Erigbuagas, administrative aide.

“The NBI will be filing the necessary charges against the parties at the

soonest possible time,” sabi ni Aguirre.

Nabatid ng kalihim na ang tatlong sinibak na empleyado ng kagawaran ay pawang nagtatrabaho sa opisina ni DoJ Undersecretary Erickson Balmes, at nagsimula umano sa masamang gawain noong Setyembre 2017.

“During the course of the investigation by the agents of the NBI, it was determined that a spurious letter containing the forged signature of Usec. Balmes with a fake stamp as received marking of the Office of the Commissioner, Bureau of Immigration dated December 18, 2017 was presented by the perpetrators to the Chinese nationals as proof that their respective quota visa applications have been filed,” ayon sa kalihim.

Natuklasan lang ni Balmes ang nasabing ilegal na aktibidad nitong Pebrero 1 matapos niyang kumprontahin ang tatlong empleyado.

Sa harapan mismo nina Balmes, Usec. Raymund Mecate, at ng mga opisyal ng NBI ay sinasabing inamin ng tatlong empleyado ang kanilang pagkakasangkot sa pandaraya sa proseso ng quota visa para sa anim na Chinese, kapalit ng malaking pera.

Dahil dito, kaagad na sinibak ang tatlo at inilagay sa Immigration Lookout Bulletin Order (ILBO).
