Pinoy golfers, masusubok sa University Game
LUBAO, Pampanga -- Nakatutulong ang sports para lalo pang pagtibayin ang loob at magandang samahan ng bawat isa, na siyang kailangan sa ikauunlad ng bansa.
Ito ang pahayag ni Pangulong Duterte sa mensahe na binasa ni Philippine Sports Commission ( PSC) Commissioner Ramon ‘ El Presidente’ Fernandez sa opening ceremony ng 17th World University Golf Championships nitong Miyerkules sa Pradera Verde Golf at Country Club.
“I laud the FESSAP for organizing the 17th WUGC, which aims to bring together talented athletes from around the world to demonstrate and hone their skills in golf,” pahayag ng Pangulo sa mga officials at players mula 13 bansa na sasabak sa four-day event na itinaguyod ng FESSAP ( Federation of School Sports Association of the Philippines).
“I am certain that this gathering will foster competitiveness among our young golfers as it promotes competence, solidarity and patriotism. Let our players nurture relationships with their peers and opponents so that they may embody the values of inclusion, discipline and perseverance,” dagdag pa ng Pangulong Duterte.
Kinatawan ni Fernandez ang Pangulong Duterte na naimbitahan bilang panauhing pandangal sa prestihiyosong torneo.
Kasama ni Fernandez sina Pampanga Gov. Lilia Pineda, Lubao Mayor Mylyn PinedaCayabyab, FESSAP honorary president David Ong, FESSAP president Baldomero Estenzo, philanthropist Bong Pineda, delegation head Sngel Ngu at Pradera Verde manager Mike Singgaran.
