Early registration, pinakamataas ngayong taon – DepEd

Inihayag ng Department of Education (DepEd) na “hit a very high record” sa 97 porsiyento ang partisipasyon sa Early Registration program ng kagawaran para sa school year (SY) 2018-2019, kumpara sa nakalipas na mga taon.

Sinabi ni Undersecretary for Planning and Field Operations Jesus Mateo na bago pa man ipatupad ang K to 12 Program, ang kagawaran ay “implementing several activities prior to the school opening.”

Ayon kay Mateo, ang paghahanda ng DepEd para sa pagbubukas ng klase kada taon ay nagsisimula sa Early Registration “because that gives us a basis to know which of our schools would require additional classrooms, teachers and the like which happens every January – it is for the learners.”

Ipinatupad simula 2009, alinsunod sa DepEd Order No. 62 series of 2008, layunin ng Early Registration “[to] ensure that all five-year-old children are enrolled in Kindergarten, and to locate, identify, and enroll out-of-school children (OSC) and youth (OSYs) who are in remote/geographically isolated areas or difficult circumstances.”

Batay sa datos, ang school participation rate noong Pebrero 26, “hit a very high record” sa 96.70% o 45,282 sa 46,826 na pampublikong paaralan na nakibahagi sa programa.

Para sa SY 2018-2019, isinagawa ang Early Registration sa pagitan ng Enero 27 at Pebrero 23, alinsunod sa “Basic Education Enrollment Policy” ng DepEd na nagoobliga sa lahat ng pampublikong paaralan na magsumite ng kabuuang bilang ng mga estudyante nito pre-registered sa Learner Information System (LIS).

Sa Hunyo 4 magsisimula ang klase sa lahat ng pampublikong paaralan sa bansa, ayon sa DepEd. Para sa mga pribadong eskuwelahan, maaaring i-adjust ang pagsisimula ng klase, subalit hindi ito dapat na lumagpas sa Agosto 4.
