Travel ban sa North Koreans, inalis

UNITED NATIONS (AFP) – Pumayag ang UN Security Council committee na alisin ang travel ban sa North Korean officials na patungo sa Singapore para sa nakaplanong summit nina Donald Trump at Kim Jong Un sa susunod na buwan, sinabi ng diplomats.

Hiniling ng Singapore noong nakaraan linggo sa sanctions committee na bigyan ng exemption ang North Korean delegation na dadalo sa June 12 summit at makikibahagi sa preparatory meetings.

‘’This summit will serve as an opportunity to advance the objective of a peaceful resolution of the DPRK nuclear issue and the establishment of peace and stability on the Korean peninsula and in the region,’’ isinulat ni Singapore UN Ambassador Burhan Gafoor sa committee.

Nauna rito ay sinabi ni Trump na malalaman “next week” kung matutuloy ang summit.
