NPA ‘di pabor sa localized peace talks

DAVAO CITY - Hindi sinangayunan ng New People’s Army (NPA) ang panukala ng pamahalaan na magsagawa ng localized peace talks.

Sa inilabas na pahayag ni NPASouthern Mindanao Regional Command (SRMC) Spokesperson Rubi del Mundo, sinabi niyang sa pamamagitan ng development projects ay pinagtatakpan lang niya ang pagkabigo ng gobyerno na maisulong ang usapang pangkapayapaan.

Sumusuko na rin, aniya, ang administrasyon sa pagsasagawa ng democratic dialogue at tinawag din nitong “surrender packages” ang nasabing mungkahing peace talks.

"The idea of peace negotiations that are 'nationally orchestrated, centrally directed and locally supervised and implemented' is but a smokescreen to obscure the fact that Duterte has never been serious in addressing the root causes of the Filipino people’s armed resistance and is only predisposed in the complete capitulation of the revolutionary movement," paliwanag ni del Mundo.

Naunanangnaiulatnatinatanggihan ng mga puwersa ng NPA sa Southern Mindanao, partikular na sa lugar ni Pangulong Duterte sa Davao City, ang lahat ng “imbitasyon” para sa localized peace talks dahil sinusuportahan ng mga ito ang pagsusulong ng negosasyon sa pagitan ng Government of Republic of the Philippines (GRP) at ng National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP).

"All Red commanders and fighters of all units of the New People’s Army in the country are behind their national leadership in supporting the negotiations between the GRP and the NDFP panels in a foreign venue," ayon pa sa kanya.
