Malamya sa droga: 16 hepe sinibak

CAMP COL. RAFAEL C. RODRIGUEZ, Butuan City - Sinibak sa puwesto ang 16 na hepe ng pulisya sa Northeastern Mindanao dahil sa umano’y mahinang kampanya ng mga ito laban sa ilegal na droga. Ang kautusan, na inilabas ni Caraga police regional director, Chief Supt. Noli Romana, ay epektibo nitong Agosto 10.

Paliwanag ni Romana, ang kautusan nito ay batay na rin sa rekomendasyon ng Oversight Committee on Illegal Drugs (OCID) na nagsabing walang naging accomplishment ang mga hepe ng pulisya sa kani-kanilang lugar.

Kabilang sa mga tinanggalan ng hepe ng pulisya ay ang Santiago Municipal Police Station (MPS), Las Nieves MPS, Kitcharao MPS, at Magallanes MPS ng Agusan del Norte Police Provincial Office (PPO); Taganaan MPS, Bacuag MPS at San Francisco MPS ng Surigao del Norte PPO; at Cantilan MPs, Marihatag MPS, Cagwait MPS at Madrid MPS ng Surigao del Sur PPO.

“The COPs failed to meet the requirements presented by the oversight committee on the number of accomplishment in their anti-illegal drugs operation,” ayon kay Romana.

Ang lima pang chief of police ng Dinagat Islands ay nauna nang sinibak ng kanilang provincial director dahil sa nasabing dahilan.

“All chiefs of police in our region are reminded to maximize their efforts on anti-criminality operations especially on illegal drugs or they will face the same fate if they fail to meet the requirements set by the oversight committee,” pagbabanta pa ni Romana.
