PH Team sasabak sa 1st Pattaya Open

NAKATAKDAN­G lumahok ang Philippine Team sa 1st Pattaya Open Youth Chess Championsh­ip sa Oktubre 20-24 sa Bay Beach Resort Pattaya, Banglamung, Chin Buried, Thailand.

Ang koponan ay binubuo nina Kaiza Libo- On (U8), Clark Jemuel Cabatian (U8), Bonjoure Fille Suyamin (U8), Jirah Floravie Cutiyog, (U10), Carlyhne Mae Maneja (U10), Adrian Klein Cantomayor (U10), Dan Japhet Liboon (U12), Josh Edmar Castro, (U12 ), Earl Siegfrid Sta. Maria, (U12), Relghie Columna, (U12), Heart Florence Claros, (U12), Geraldine Mae Camarines U12, Jeanelle Cabatian (U14), Janmyl Dilan Tisado (U16),Jireh Dan Jaime Cutiyog (U16) at Paolo Estavillo (16).

Makakahara­p ng Pinoy ang mga manlalaro na magmumula sa Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Myanmar, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos at Brunei.

“We expect these young and talented players to perform well as usual and bring honors to the country,” sabi ni coach Ederwin Estavillo, presidente din ng General Trias City Chess Club.

“Most of these players did very well during the Philippine age-group chess championsh­ips held in the country as well the ASEAN age group chess championsh­ips in abroad, so it will not be a surprise that they will perform just as well in the ASEAN level,” aniya.

Ang Head of Delegation ay si Ms.Baby Lyn Kempiz ng City Mayor’s Office ng General Trias, Cavite.

“Youth team are all from General Trias, Cavite and members of General Trias City Chess Club,” sambit ni Kempiz.

Suportado ng local government ng General Trias, Cavite sa gabay nina Mayor Antonio “Ony” Ferrer at Congressma­n Luis “Jon-jon” Ferrer, ang delegation ay inendorso ng National Chess Federation of the Philippine­s mula kay FA Red Dumuk, ang NCFP Executive Director at suportado din ng Philippine Sports Commission.
