Dalawang beteranong mamamahayag ang opisyal na sasali sa pamahalaang Duterte.

Itinalaga ni Pangulong Rodrigo ang radio broadcaster at newspaper columnist na si Ramon Tulfo Jr. bilang kanyang bagong special envoy for public policy to the People’s Republic of China. Magsisikbi si Tulfo sa loob ng anim na buwan batay sa kanyang appointment paper na nilagdaan ng Pangulo nitong Oktubre 23,

Itinalaga rin ng Pangulo si Raquel Tobias, PTV-4 news operations head, bilang bagong Undersecretary for Mass Media of the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO).

Si Tobias, kilala ng viewers bilang Rocky Ignacio, ay mahigit 20 taon nang nagtatrabaho sa telebisyon ng gobyerno at dating vice president for TV ng Malacañang Press Corps. Ang kanyang appointment paper ay nilagdaan nitong Martes.

Bukod kina Tulfo at Tobias, inilabas din ng Malacañang ang appointment papers ng iba pang opisyal ng gobyerno.

Si Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process Jesus Dureza ay itinalagang special envoy of the President to the European Union simula Hulyo 1, 2018 hanggang December 31, 2018.

Itinalaga rin ni Duterte si Myra Abubakar bilang bagong Assistant Secretary ng Department of Tourism, kapalit ni Frederick Alegre.
