NATIONAL TASK FORCE ITATATAG

Pakikilusin na ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang government assets nito upang maharang ang pagpasok ng ilegal na droga sa bansa, na ayon sa kanya ay “number one threat to national security” ng bansa.

Ito ay makaraang ihayag ng Pangulo na plano niyang pakilusin ang isang national task force kontra droga.

“I will issue a memorandum circular directing the entire government machinery to mobilize its assets and to take an active role in government’s anti- illegal drug campaign nationwide,” sinabi ni Duterte sa Cabinet meeting sa Malacañang nitong Martes.

“What we have is the moving forward to eradicate illegal drug trade, activate a National Anti-illegal Drug Task Force,” aniya.

Sinabi ng Presidente na ang task force ay bubuuin ng mga tauhan ng Philippine National Police (PNP), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Bureau of Customs (BoC), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), at iba pang ahensiya ng pamahalaan.

“It can provide a necessary personnel complement to carry out the directive of the President to the Bureau of customs to block the flow of illegal drugs in this country,” ani Duterte.

Nagbanta rin siya na papatayin ang sinumang sisira sa bansa dahil sa pagkakasangkot nila sa ilegal na droga.

“Drug menace is the number one threat to national security,” aniya at inaming halos araw-araw ay may nakapapasok na droga sa bansa.
