IPINOST ni Kris Aquino ang imbitasyon sa kanya ng RAWR Awards 2018 dahil nanalo siya bilang Royal Lion Awardee pero hindi siya nakadalo kagabi dahil kinailangan niyang magpahinga kasi bumaba ulit ang blood pressure niya.
Aniya, “This is a heartfelt apology to LIONHEART. The honor you chose to give me tomorrow night was heartwarming but unfortunately Dr. Geraldine Zamora diagnosed me with a systemic viral infection. I have a compromised immune system and my fever has been hovering in the 38.7 to 39.3 since waking up. I am suffering from weakness and body aches.
“The nerd in me researched thoroughly- I am contagious for the next 3-5 days until my system fights off this virus. Viral infections don’t have medication to fight the virus, only for the symptoms. Kuya Josh and Bimb were all set to go in my place to accept my award but I don’t want them to be “carriers” of whatever virus I caught.

Simula nang sampahan ni Kris ng kaso ang taong nanloko sa kanya ay never niya itong pinangalanan dahil ayaw niya ng trial by publicity at ang gusto niya sa legal na paraan niya ito gawin at sa korte nga iyon.

The lack of decency and the lack of respect for the trust I had given destroyed my faith in my judgment of a man’s moral compass.”
Hindi rin makalimutan ni Kris na dahil sa taong nanloko sa kanya ay naging at stake ang kalusugan niya dahil nagsama-sama na ang lahat ng stressed. “And most of all, he made my 2 sons live through their worst fear- that they could lose their mama in the same way I lost my mom. Hindi mababayaran ng millions yung iniyak ng mga anak ko dahil sa takot nilang mawawala ako sa tabi nila. I made them 1 promise- I would never again let anybody come into our lives who could break their hearts, and I didn’t live up to.
“That 5 times po kaming sumubok to come to an amicable and fair settlement, every single time they came up with an unrealistic demand- it is a testament to the hubris of this man and how he can manipulate the truth to suit his purposes.
“In what universe is it that the accused feels he can call the shots? I prayed about this, as a mother I want to shield my sons from further stress- but as a human being- MAGKA-UBUSAN NA NG YAMAN (tutal hindi nakaw yung akin) I AM DONE.
“Hindi ako ipinanganak para magpaapak lamang sa taong sinira na ang kanyang pangkatao. Itapon na nila lahat ng putik nila. Kung may naituro na sa akin ang buhay, bakit ako matatakot sa taong hindi nga makabalik para harapin ang mga kaso niya sa kanyang lupang sinilangan?
“Let history speak for itself- from August 1983, when my father’s blood flowed on the tarmac of the airport now carrying his name, we NEVER left.
