Bethel Academy students, ratsada sa Int’l meet
GENERAL TRIAS CITY – Nanguna sina Bethel Academy Sports Coordinator Ms. Arlene A. Garcia , Asst. Principal Mrs. Leani A. Mojica at chess coach Mrs. Eunice B. Gabion sa pagbati at pagkikila sa Filipino youth athletes na kumabig sa katatapos na Thailand Pattaya Youth Chess Championship.
“We are very proud of our chess achievers and on behalf of the Bethel Academy Administration, we extend our sincerest congratulations to them. We would like to congratulate Jirah Floravie P. Cutiyog, Geraldine Mae Camarines, Carlyhnne Mae Maneja and Jireh Dan Jaime P. Cutiyog for making it to the best of the participants in an International Chess Competition. We are wishing that you continue doing your best in this field of chess for the glory of God and for our country. God bless you mga anak,” sabi ni chess coach Mrs. Eunice B. Gabion.
Magugunita na sina Jirah Floravie P. Cutiyog (2nd place sa Under 10 girls division), Geraldine Mae Camarines (2nd place sa Under 12 girls division), Carlyhnne Mae Maneja (4th place sa Under 10 girls division) at Jireh Dan Jaime P. Cutiyog ( 6th place sa Under 16 Boys), ay miyembro ng Philippine Youth team mula General Trias City, Cavite na nasa gabay ni Ph coach Ederwin Estavillo ay nanalo ng four gold medals at two silver medals sa Thailand Pattaya Youth Chess Championship na ginanap sa Bay Beach Resort Pattaya, Banglamung, Chin Buried sa Pattaya, Thailand.
Dahil sa panibagong tagumpay, sina Geraldine Mae Camarines, Carlyhnne Mae Maneja at Jireh Dan Jaime P. Cutiyog ay nakakuha ng recommendation para sa posibleng scholarships sa next school year ayon sa Bethel Academy officials at nangako sila (Bethel Academy officials) na ipagpapatuloy ang chess development program.
Una ng nakakuha si Jirah Floravie P. Cutiyog ngscholarships matapos magkampeon sa 2017 ASEAN Age Group Chess Championships sa Kuantan, Pahang, Malaysia nitong nakaraang taon.
Ang Bethel Academy ay nakapagtatag ng ilang matitikas na atleta larangan ng volleyball gaya nina Celine Elaiza Domingo (FEU Lady Tamarraws), Nicole Ann Magsarile (UP WVT), Francis Raven Evangelista (Mapua Men’s Volleyball Team) at Kian Moral (LPU Cavite Campus Men’s Volleyball Team)
