Richard, aminadong makakalimutin

AMINADO si Richard Gomez, na ngayon ay 52 years old na, na makakalimutin na siya. Dahil na rin siguro sa kanyang posisyon bilang mayor ng Ormoc City, Leyte, at bilang public servant, tanggap na ng aktor na minsan ay nagiging “forgetful dad” na siya sa anak na si Juliana.

Sa presscon ng kanilang pelikulang Three Words To Forever, with Sharon Cuneta at Kathryn Bernardo at showing na bukas, November 28, ibinahagi niya sa mga press people ang pagiging makakalimutin niya.

Ikinuwento niya ang isang funny incident involving himself and his unica hija Juliana, whom he apparently forgot had already celebrated her debut with a disco-themed party last September 2018. Sa isang post, the proud dad ended it with a laugh and chided himself for not remembering his only daughter’s age.

Post ni Richard: “I had a big laugh with Juliana one evening when I forwarded to her a poster for a one day volleyball league and told her to join that particular competition. I even called her to make sure she received my message.

“Once on the phone she told me that the competition was for 12 years and below only. Then she reiterated that she was already 18 yrs old! OMG! I was in time zone talaga all the while because I thought she was still 12 yrs old.

“Ito talaga yung ‘how time flies so quickly...’ Hahahahahahahaha!”

Ang nakakatuwa lang kay Richard, never daw nitong nakalimutan nang siya’y unang nasampal ni Sharon when they’re still in a relationship, halos tatlong dekada na ang nakakaraan. Pareho silang 23 years old nang magkarelasyon sila, na inilarawan nilang “on-and-off—mostly on—for almost six years.”
