Ana de Victorias at niversity of Visayas Green Lancer.

“We believe that in this structure, teams from the regions will have a better chance of either becoming a runner-up or a champion. It’s one game. You never know what will happen in a one-game knockout compared to the past wherein we would have the elite eight composed of the Manila teams and the provincial teams,” sambit ni Gamboa.

“When the final four happens, only two manila teams and two provincial teams will remain. The two provincial teams will probably lose,” sambit ni Gamboa.

“The objective of the PCCL is to give the provincial teams exposure. Give them the opportunity to play with the best teams here in Manila and that is why we made it into a provincial level basis so that they will have the opportunity of going to different places and then ultimately in the big teams in Manila,” aniya.

“This is the only league that has this. This is why the Philippine Sports Commission has recognized it as a grassroots unifying game. Because we bring together the collegiate teams from all over the country to get the one national champion,” aniya.
