Buhay na patotoo si dating Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) commissioner Tisha Abundo – matapos ang mahigit dalawang dekadang pamamahin mga ay muling nagbabalik sa limelight para isulong ang bagong adbokasiya sa sports.

“It’s also about environment – helping raise awareness about a clean and safe environment where we can play exciting beach volleyball,” ayon sa 69-anyos na dating miyembro ng National volleyball team.

Sa batang edad na 17, napabilang si Abundo sa National Team na sumana sa volleyball competitions sa 1966 Asian Games sa Bangkok, at ang karansan sa sports ang nais niyang maibahagi hindi lamang sa mga kabataan, bagkus sa lahat ng mga kababaihan.

“I have a lot of friends – beautiful friends – in the beach volleyball community who are willing to lend a hand in this noble cause. They will help us reach out to people and raise awareness about the importance of a clean environment by playing beach volleyball,” sambit ni Abundo, Presidential Awardee as “National Female Volleyball Player of the Year” in 1969. .

“I have initially talked to the Olongapo City Mayor Rolen Paulino about the plan. The Good Mayor is a long-time supporter of sports and he is willing to help,” pahayag ni Abundo, miyembro rin ng pamosong Karilagan Arts International at signature model ng fashion icon na sina Ben Farrales at Pitoy Moreno noong dekada 70.

“But there are other cities and municipalities whose coastal areas need our attention. We will go there and help clean them up,” aniya.

Kasama ni Abundo sa talakayan na suportado ng NPC, sa pamumuno ni Rolando “Lakay” Gonzalo sina sia’s first GM Eugene Torre at M Jayson Gonzales.
