8 sasakyan sa financial fraud, narekober

PALO, Leyte – Nasa kabuuang walong sasakyan na sangkot sa financial fraud schemes ang narekober ng Regional Highway Patrol Unit 8 sa joint operation katuwang ang Regional Intelligence Unit 8 sa Hinunangan, Southern Leyte.

Ayon kay PSSupt. Lucilo Laguna, Jr., Highway Patrol Reg'l Chief, ang naturang mga sasakyan ay maaaring isinangla sa isang casino sa Metro Manila at ibinenta sa Southern Leyte.

"The complainants averred that the subject vehicles were sold and distributed by a certain Dondon “Dondon” Sinadjan Ofqueria of Cebu City," pagbabahagi niya.

Idinagdag niya na si Ofqueria ay iniuugnay sa pagbebenta ng mga sasakyan sa Region 6, kasabwat si Juliet “Lilet” Monton, kanyang live-in partner, at tubong Barangay Tahusan, Hinunangan, Southern Leyte.

"The modus is made possible with the honest belief that the vehicles came from legitimate sources, and the documents they possess are authentic," paliwanag niya.

Idinagdag niya na ang Rent-Sangla, RentTangay at Pasalo Scam ay financial fraud schemes na nambibiktima ng financial institutions, vehicle owners at bumibili ng motorsiklo.

"It is committed when a certain motor vehicle is acquired by the syndicate thru said modus and sold at a very low price. Most vehicles involved are high-end or latest models using fictitious and spurious documents," sambit ni Laguna.
