Catriona kay Clint: I just wish him the best
KINUMPIRMA ni Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray na hiwalay na sila ng boyfriend niya sa loob ng anim na taon na si Clint Bondad.
Ito ang kinumpirma ni Catriona nang mag-guest siya sa Tonight With Boy Abunda sa ABS CBN nitong Biyernes ng gabi.
“Hindi na po,” sagot ni Catriona nang tanungin ni Boy Abunda kung magkarelasyon pa sila ni Clint.
Tinanong ni Boy kung sino sa kanila ang nakipaghiwalay.
“Kasi we were having problems even before the pageant. We weren’t on speaking terms so much,” pagamin ni Catriona.
Sa kabila nito, sinabi ni Catriona na nanood pa rin si Clint ng Miss Universe competition sa Bangkok, Thailand noong Disyembre 2018 kahit pa hindi na maayos ang kanilang relasyon.
“He did. But it was really hard going to the competition with that happening all at the same time. But I had to keep reminding myself this is a once in a lifetime opportunity I need to give my best of why am I here. I wanna represent the Philippines well. So it was a struggle you know but I see him doing so well now,” anang Filipino-Australian beauty queen.
Hindi na nagdetalye pa si Catriona sa dahilan ng hiwalayan.
“I don’t want to talk about it that much because I’m private and I really respect him and I am grateful for the time that I had with him. I just wish him the best.
“When you’re together for so long and you start at a very young age, you grown whether that be in your personal, or your career, of whatever. Sometimes you just outgrow each other in a way. If we were meant to be together, maybe it will happen in the future,” aniya.
Mahal pa ba niya si Clint? “I am always grateful for the time that I shared with him ‘cause he has seen me through much and I’ve seen him through much. We both supported each other. It just didn’t work out.”
Ano ang pinakamahalagang natutuhan ni Catriona, 25, sa pakikipagrelasyon niya sa FilipinoGerman model: “The need to communicate.”
Inamin din ni Catriona na siya ay “not on speaking terms with him at the moment”.
“I think we are both figuring out our things,” dagdag niya.
Sinabi rin ni Catriona na gusto niyang manatiling single hanggang sa matapos ang kanyang reign bilang Miss Universe.
“I want to. I’ve never really had a chance. Being in a six-year relationship from the age of 18, I’ve never been a young adult especially growing a young Christian din in that season of singleness. And I think it’s really important as an individual because you need to know want you want or who you are, in establishing your identity as your own person, and I just want to take that time. Being a Miss Universe for a year is an amazing experience,” ani Catriona.
Sinabi rin niyang hindi pa siya handa para sa panibagong relasyon sa ngayon.
“I just wanna be able to grow in that kind of season as Miss Universe. I don’t feel ready now,” ani Catriona.
Si Clint ay isa na ngayon sa mga hosts ng morning show ng GMA 7 na Unang Hirit. Mapapanood din siya sa ipalalabas na rom-com series ng network, ang Love You Two, na pinagbibidahan nina Jennylyn Mercado at Gabby Concepcion.
