T-shirts ni Bong Go, ‘di galing sa gobyerno --DILG

Sinagot ni Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Eduardo M. Año ang paratang ni Rep. Gary Alejano na pondo ng gobyerno ang ginamit sa pagbili ng campaign t-shirts ni administration senatorial bet Bong Go sa Liga ng mga Barangay Convention nitong Pebrero 2

“We categorically deny the allegation of Rep Gary Alejano that government funds were used to purchase Bong Go campaign T-shirts,’’ ani Año.

Pinaalalahanan niya si Alejano na ang DILG Memorandum Circular 23 s. 2019 ay isang standard memorandum para sa local government league events.

Ayon kay Año, hinihikayat ng DILG ang lahat ng punong barangay na dumalo sa First National Convention of the Liga ng mga Barangay.

“It likewise authorized those participating in the convention to charge their traveling expenses and registration fees from their local funds,” ani Año.

“We wish to emphasize that nothing in the memorandum permitted the use of government funds to pay for any campaign materials of any candidate,’’ aniya.

Samantala, tiniyak din ni Liga ng mga Barangay President Faustino Dy V na walang public funds mula sa LnB o sa registration fees ng mga opisyal ng barangay ang ginamit para bumili ng campaign materials ng sinumang kandidato.

Sinabi ng LnB na sa katunayan ang t-shirts na tinutukoy ni Alejano ay binili at binayaran ng “Bayan For Bong Go,” isang pribadong organisasyon ng mga indibidwal na sumusuporta sa kandidatura ni Go at “was not purchased by the Liga using public funds.”
