Kinasuhan kahapon ng Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) ng tax evasion ang 24 na business executives sa Makati, kabilang ang pinsan ni dating Pangulong Benigno Aquino III.
Ayon kay Makati Revenue Regional Director Glenn Geraldino, ang kaso ay isinumite sa Department of Justice (DoJ) matapos na iulat na binalewala ng mga respondents ang assessment and collection notices upang magbayad ng pinabayaang mga account na nasa mahigit P1 bilyon.
Kinilala ang mga respondents na sina Alejandro Tengco, Ramon Conjuangco, Jr., Mario Locsin, Manuel Dinio; president, chairman of the board, vice president at treasurer, ayon sa pagkakasunod, ng Auto Sports 24 Corporation of Magallanes Village, Makati; Rizalyn Aligante at Jennilyn Lapus, president at treasurer, ayon sa pagkakasunod, ng City Delight Mercantile of Goodyear Park Subdivision, Las Piñas City; Paula San Agustin, Margarita Vela at Susan Carasig, president, secretary at finance officer, ayon sa pagkakasunod, ng Concept Placement Resources of Magallanes, Makati.
Cojuangco, may-ari ng isang highend resort sa Boracay, ay pinsan ni dating Pangulong Aquino.

“The respondents’ failure and continued refusal to pay their long overdue deficiency taxes, despite repeated demands, constitute willful failure to pay the taxes due the government,” ayon sa BIR.
