Fil-Am model, sali sa Miss Eco International sa Egypt
ISANG pageant veteran ang magiging kinatawan ng Pilipinas sa Miss Eco International 2019 pageant na gaganapin sa Almasa Capital Theater sa Cairo, Egypt sa March 29.
Lumipad na patungong Egypt kahapon ang FilipinoAmerican na si Maureen Montagne para dumalo sa mga pre-pageant activity, na magsisimula sa isang press conference at eco-tour sa Cairo sa Huwebes, March 14.
Sa press send-off na ginanap sa Novotel Manila sa Cubao, Quezon City kahapon, sinabi ni Maureen na hands-on siya sa kanyang environmental advocacy na magiging pangunahing factor para manalo siya sa timpalak.
“This year I have been focusing on cleaning up the Philippines, specifically our water sources. I’m proud of our efforts with rebuilding Boracay and I have been involved with the Manila Bay Project and have been working on other local projects as well,” aniya.
Ang Miss Eco International pageant ang unnag international contest para kay Maureen. Una rito, sumali siya sa Miss USA 2015 pageant kung saan nakapasokn siya sa top 15 at sa Miss World America 2017 contest kung saan nanalo naman siya bilang first runner-up.
“I am confident that I will do well in the competition. I believe in always giving 110 percent in anything you do and this pageant will be no different. I’m so excited to finally have a chance to show what I have on the international stage,” aniya.
Sa social media ay hiningi naman ni Maureen ang suporta ng kanyang Pinoy fans para sa pagsali sa Miss Eco International 2019 contest.
“The best way to support me in this competition is to like, comment, and share my Eco Tourism video on the Miss Eco International Facebook page! The more engagement the contestant has the better,” sabi ni Maureen.
Pagkatapos ng kanyang paglahok sa Miss Eco International pageant, inihayag ng beauty queen na nais niyang ituon ang pansin sa TV hosting at acting.
“I would like to focus on becoming an actress and TV host. I have always had a love for acting and would eventually like to host a travel or fashion show in the future. I will still continue modeling as well and hope to travel more. I am excited about some international projects in the works and I can’t wait to share them with you when the time comes,” aniya pa.
Ang dumalo sa press send-off ni Maureen ay si Miss World Philippines National Director Arnold Vegafria at ang kanyang Miss World Philippines “sisters” na sina Miss World Philippines 2018 Katarina Rodriguez, Reina Hispanoamericana Philippines Alyssa Alvarez Muhlach, at Miss Multinational Philippines Kimi Mugford.
