I wanna be the first who can do 257 roles— Arjo

ISA si Arjo Atayde sa pinakaabalang artista ngayon sa showbiz, dahil bukod sa tapings niya para sa The General’s Daughter at Bagman ay may ginagawa pa siyang pelikula na hindi pa puwedeng banggitin, bukod pa sa may tatlo pang naghihintay na proyekto. Katatapos lang din niya ng pelikulang Stranded, with Jessy Mendiola, produced ng Regal Entertainment.

Kaya hiningan ng reaksiyon ang aktor kung paano niya napagkakasya ang oras niya.

“Time management. Nagkakasabay-sabay po pero naaayos din naman po ng manager ko, si Tita Lulu (Romero). I think all my projects naman is with Dreamscape, kaya sila-sila rin naman po ang nag-uusap to make it easier for me.

“There are days naman for TGD and for iWant, and ‘yung movie weekends. When I’m free that’s for my family and personal life,” paliwanag ng binata.

Ano ang reaksiyon ni Arjo na maganda ang takbo ng career niya ngayon at bida na siya makalipas ang pitong taon na puro suporta ang roles niya?

“Everything is so real, everything is so overwhelming, I can’t explain being given all these roles, this opportunity, the family, good personal life, career. The ABS-CBN is taking care of me, Dreamscape and Rein took care of me well in this project, of course my co-actors took care of me so well and nothing easy but I worked for it. Very, very thankful.”

Napanood na si Arjo sa comedy (pelikulang ‘Tol), sa drama (Hanggang Saan teleserye) at sa action (FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano) pero mas tumatak sa manonood ang husay niya sa action. May chance bang mag-stick na lang siya sa action roles dahil ito ang nakikitang forte niya?

“I will do any role, I will accept any role, I don’t wanna be boxed. I wanna be the first in in my generation in television that can do 257 roles. I continue doing what I am doing and yes I will continue it and I’ll do every role I could and if given the opportunity thank you, that’s what I’m looking forward,” paliwanag ng aktor.

Pero depende raw sa management kung ano ang gustong ipagawa sa kanya.

“Well, it still depends on the management at the end of the day whatever I do. But as far as I’m concerned right now with the way we talked to each other, I’ll be doing different roles.”

Parehong premyadong aktor naman sina Allan Paule at Raymond Bagatsing kaya hiningan sila kung ano naman ang masasabi nila kay Arjo.

“When I first watch Arjo onetime in Ang Probinsyano sabi ko, ‘sino ‘yun?

Ang galing nito, napakanatural’,” papuri ni Raymond.

“I love actors who are very simple pero very truthful. Sabi ko, ang galing nito, very understated pero ang lakas guy (Arjo) is really good. And sister (Ria Atayde) at one poi galing ng brother mo, ang g Raymond.

“Thank you, it’s overwh lot,” say naman ni Arjo.
