Moralde vs Martinez, ikinasa sa Las Vegas

MULING sasabak si Sanman Boxing super featherweight prospect John Vincent Moralde laban sa walang talong Amerikano na si Xavier Martinez sa Abril 5 sa Sam’s Town Hotel sa Las Vegas, Nevada sa United States.

Ikaapat na laban na ito sa US ni Moralde makaraang makalasap ng unang pagkatalo via 7th round stoppage kay world rated Tora Khan Clary noong Disyembre 1, 2017. Nagwagi si Moralde sa puntos kay dating undefeated Ismail Muwendo ng Uganda noong Mayo 26, 2018 at muling natalo sa 10-round unanimous decision kay Jamel Herring sa sagupaan para sa bakanteng USBA super featherweight title noong Setyembre 14, 2018.

Magsisilbing main event ang sagupaang Moralde-Martinez sa Showtime-Shobox series ng Mayweather Promotions ni multiple world champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. kaya kailangang magwagi ang Pinoy boxer para magkaroon ng pagkakataon sa world title bout.

“Martinez may be good as seen in his record. They might think of Moralde as a good addition to his winning record but they might be wrong,” sabi ni Sanman big boss Jim Claude Manangquil sa Philboxing.com. “Moralde is very motivated and is training hard for this fight.”

“This guy is undefeated. I’ve heard he is good. But I am coming to Vegas to win. He is not the first undefeated guy I’ve faced. Muendo whom I recently defeated was 19-0 when he faced me. Records don’t really scare me. I need to win this fight and will do my best”, sabi naman ni Moralde.

May rekord si Moralde na 21-2-0 na may 11 pagwawagi sa knockouts samantalang may kartada si Martinez na perpektong 13 panalo, 9 sa pamamagitan ng knockouts.
