15 PCSO officials, isasailalim sa lifestyle check

Sinimulan na ng Presidential AntiCorruption Commission (PACC) ang imbestigasyon sa 15 dati at kasalukyang opisyal ng Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), kabilang ang dating general manager na si Alexander Balutan, dahil sa umano’y kuwestiyonableng mga transaksyon.

Inihayag ni PACC Commissioner Greco Belgica na ang gumugulong na imbestigasyon hinggil sa mga umano’y sangkot na opisyal ay bunsod ng pagsita ni Pangulong Duterte sa PCSO dahil sa umano’y nagaganap na malawakang kurapsyon dito.

Isasailalim din sa lifestyle check ang nasa listahan ng PACC, na kinabibilangan ng 10 indibiduwal na una nang binanggit ng Pangulo, ayon kay Belgica.

“I have the copy of the names but in our own record, we have 15 so we will investigate the names that the President, I don’t know if these are the names of the President (mentioned) but I have a copy from Malacañang,” aniya sa ginanap na pulong balitaan sa Palasyo.

“We’re investigating these people because they have been tagged to have questionable transactions. We’re investigating because the President announced that there is massive corruption in PCSO,” dagdag pa niya.

Kinumpirma rin ng opisyal na saklaw ng imbestigayon si Balutan at ang PCSO board members dahil kabilang sila sa mga lumikha ng mga polisya sa kabila ng pangambang posibleng magbunga ito ng kurapsyon sa ahensya. Dagdag pa niya, susuriin nila kung sumunod ang mga nasasakdal sa mga regulasyon at patakaran ng PCSO.

“They passed board solutions, they approved franchises, they created policies and these policies we realized are what set guidelines for corruption, for defrauding government. We want to check the board resolution if it complied with IRR (implementing rules and regulations) and the result of the resolutions against the operations,” aniya pa.

“If the government is supposed to receive 30 percent, then you issue a board resolution that issue less or that allows the players to

give less so they have to answer that,” sabi pa ni Belgica.

Ang mga opisyal na nasa listahan ay humawak at humahawak ng “very critical and important positions” sa PCSO at ikinokonsiderang “decision-makers.”

“They have held powerful offices that allows them discretion, power to decide who and what to give,” anang opisyal.

Samantala,pagsusumitehin rin aniya si PCSO board member Sandra Cam ng mga dokumento para patunayan ang mga alegasyon niyang may nagaganap na kurapsyon sa PCSO.

“She was the first one to call out corruption in PCSO if I remember before – even long before the President appointed General Manager Garma. So, we are interested to hear what she has, not to take it as the truth, but to investigate and allow it to go into the process,” sabi ni Belgica.

Matatapos naman umano ang lifestyle check sa 15 opsiyal sa loob ng dalawa hanggang tatlong buwan.

“Everyone will be included, kasi po lahat ng humawak ng puwesto simula noong pag-upo ng ating Pangulo, nu’ng sabihin niyang massive corruption, everyone will go through investigation po,” aniya.

Matatandaang ipinatigil ni Pangulong Duterte ang gaming operations ng PCSO dahil sa umano’y malawakang kurapsyon.
