‘HONEST SUMMARIES OF SUCCESSES AND SACRIFICES’

Pagbawas sa kahirapan, paglikha ng apat na milyong trabaho, infrastructure development, pagtatag sa Bangsamoro region. Ilan lamang ito sa “impressive” legacy na natamo ni Pangulo Rodrigo Duterte sa kanyang unang tatlong taon sa puwesto.

Binigyang-diin ni Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea, at iba pang Cabinet members ang mga tagumpay na ito at iba pang mga natamo ng administrasyon sa peace and order at social services sa paglulunsad ng “Duterte Legacy” campaign nitong Biyernes.

Ang legacy campaign ay inisyatiba ng Presidential Communications Operations Office sa pag-abot ng Pangulo sa kalahati ng kanyang anim na taong termino.

“The President’s vision for a better Philippines is already a reality,” sinabi ni Medialdea sa government forum na ginanap sa Philippine International Convention Center (PICC).

“The real change we have all yearned for so long is now happening. We have made the significant starts, pioneered initiatives and accomplished impressive milestones as a nation during the first half of the Duterte administration,” aniya.

Sinabi ni Medialdea na bumaba ang poverty incidence sa 21 porsiyento sa first half ng 2018 mula sa 27.6 porsiyento sa parehong panahon noong 2015. “We are well on our way to achieving our target of 14 percent poverty incidence by 2022,” aniya.

Aniya, inihudyat din ng gobyerno ang golden age ng infrastructure sa bansa sa implementasyon ng Build Build Build infrastructure program, na kinabibilangan ng

mga kalsada, railways, tulay, paliparan, at irrigation systems. Ang mga ito ay inaasahang magbunsod ng countryside development at lumikha ng mga trabaho.

“We have not only built structures, we have generated four million jobs for our countrymen thought the Build Build Build program,” dagdag niya.

Ipinagmalaki din ni Medialdea ang mga pagsisikap ng administrasyon para mapabuti ang access sa de kalidad at abotkayang health care, libreng college tuition, at iba pang social services sa nakalipas na taon.

Naipasa rin sa wakas ang batas na lumilikha sa Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) na nagkakaloob ng mas malawak na teritoryo at fiscal powers matapos ang dalawang dekada ng peace negotiations.

Sa pagproteksa kapaligiran, binanggit ni Medialdea ang rehabilitasyon ng Boracay island at ng Manila Bay alinsunod sa kautusan ng Pangulo.

“More than three years into his term, kitang-kita ninyo naman ninyo ang positibong pagbabago na hatid ng sikap at dedikasyon ng ating Pangulo. The Duterte administration is driven by radical change marked with multiple milestones and progress and development,” aniya.

Sinabi naman ni Presidential Communications Secretary Martin Andanar na ang mga iprinisintang achievements ng gobyerno ay “honest summaries of successes and sacrifices.”

Kabilang sa bagong kampanyha ang paglabas ng documentary series, quarterly magazines, at podcasts, upang bigyangdiinan legacy achievements ng Pangulo. Magsasagawa rin ng information caravan para maitaas ang kamalayan ng mga Pilipino at town-hall engagements, ani Andanar.

“He (President Duterte) presents his words with great resolve and confidence, sometimes with good humor, but all the time with the compassion of a father to our nation,” diin niya.

“The Commander-in-Chief is in command, and this is his continuing legacy,” dugtong niya.
