Kelley Day naghahanda na sa Miss Eco International
NAKATUTOK na sa paghahanda si Filipino-English actress Kelley Day para sa kanyang pagsabak sa upcoming international pageant, ang Miss Eco International 2019 na idaraos sa Egypt sa March 29.
“My showbiz career in a sense is on hold right now because I need to prioritize this pageant. But if there are projects that come up, I can handle it naman,” pagbabahagi ni Kelley sa isang exclusive interview sa Quezon City, kamakailan.
Ipinanganak sa Dubai, si Kelly ay dating bahagi ng all-girl dance group na GirlTrends ng Kapamilya noontime program na It’s Showtime.
Noong February 2018, lumipat si Kelley GMA Network Artist Center. She has dated actor Inigo Pascual.
Matapos ang nakatakdang kompetisyon abroad, sinabi ni Kelley na may potential projects lined-up na para sa kanya.
“Right now, I need to balance my time because there are so much things to be done to prepare for the pageant,” dagdag pa nito.
Isa naman sa inaaral ni Kelly ngayon ang pagme-make-up sa sarili.
“I feel good when I do my hair and make up. It makes me feel confident. If I don’t have pageant events, I can be ready in 30 minutes. So now I’m learning how to put my false eyelashes and everything. Kasi when you compete abroad, you are on your own so you have to know these things,”pahayag pa ng aktres.
Hindi rin umano si Kelly, mahilig sumabay sa uso o kung ano ang trending sa fashion at iba pa.
“I don’t really get affected what’s trending. Whenever I feel what’s good on me, I stick to that. I’m pretty old school with my style,” anito.
Isa naman sa mga idolo ng aktres ang Hollywood star Jennifer Aniston in terms of fashion sense. “I like what Jennifer Aniston wears in ‘Friends.’ That’s my real peg.”
Naniniwala rin siya na nag-e-evolve na ang pageants.
“I’m not pressured and pageants are really changing as well. I think people now don’t look for a perfect person but someone they can relate to,” anito.
Suportado rin, aniya, ang mga beauty queens at ang pageant industry. “I feel for them because it’s not easy. I watch a lot of those. I really support beauty queens and how the industry is developing.”
Ang Miss Eco International ay isang beauty competition “that brings together representatives of different cultures and traditions from all over the world,” base sa website nito.
Pangunahing tuon ng pageant ang pagsusulong ng pagsagip sa planeta kasama ng marketing tourism across the world.
Nakatuon din ang kompetisyon sa wellness of the mind, body and spirit ng mga kandidata na kumakatawan sa kanilan mga bansa.
