- Maya M. Padillo

DAVAO CITY — Suntrust Properties, Inc. plans to start constructing by next year the hospital component within its 11-hectare Davao Park District township project, Suntrust President Harrison M. Paltongan said.

In an interview on the sidelines of a company event, Mr. Paltongan said the envisioned high-end medical facility is tentatively called Lanang Premier Doctor’s Hospital.

“The plans are almost finished,” he said, although he declined to give details on the hospital’s bed capacity, the building’s number of floors, and projected capital spending.

The 2017 target coincides with the planned groundbreaking for the Lakeshore Drive condominium buildings.

“We are going to open Two Lakeshore Drive and it will have more commercial areas and almost the same with tone Lakeshore Drive,” Mr. Paltongan said.

Construction is ongoing for the 15-storey Davao Finance Center within the complex and the company recently announced plans to develop two more office buildings.

Megaworld Corp., Suntrust’s parent, is allocating P15 billion for the township, its first in the city. —
