BGC Passionfest on this weekend

-

FOR THE fifth time, the one kilometer or so stretch of Bonifacio High Street will serve as the home to the annual Bonifacio Global City ( BGC) Passionfest — a festival which, in homage to the life of national hero Andres Bonifacio, “celebrates Filipino roots” and “all things Filipino” according to a company press release.

Organized by the Fort Bonifacio Development Corp. (FBDC), the festival which will run from Nov. 25 to 27 will feature several Passionfest staples including the Pica-Pica Quiz Night and the Wacky Obstacle Race which will find participants tackling an inflatable course. Other activities include the Tangram, Ring Toss, and Bike Lessons for everyone.

There will also be performances from Globe’s Live Christmas Symphonies and a circus show from the Mind Museum. Pets are welcome to join in the Doggie Olympics.

And true to its theme, “Bayanihan Fiesta,” there will be a bahay kubo ( nipa hut) where performers will dance to Filipino folk songs.

“For full three days, BGC Passionfest will showcase the richness of Philippine culture and the arts, celebrate all passionate activities, and gather families and friends,” said BGC city marketing assistant manager, Joanne Bawalan-Magno, in the press release.

The festival will also be holding the 15th cycle of the BGC Art Mart Bazaar where young artists and craftsmen showcase their wares and talents to the public.
