Philippine Airlines marks 76th year with activities

PHILIPPINE AIRLINES celebrates its 76th anniversar­y this month. After expanding to new territorie­s and launching its new Brand Equity, “The Heart of the Filipino” last year, this 2017, Philippine Airlines continues its commitment to enhance our passengers’ overall travel experience with innovative products and services.

“Philippine Airlines has been continuing the tradition of service innovation to provide passengers a heartwarmi­ng experience that represents the best of the Philippine­s and best of the Filipinos,” said Jaime J. Bautista, Philippine Airlines president. “With our lineup of initiative­s, we are committed to make people all over the world experience the unique brand of service that can only come from ‘ The Heart of the Filipino’.”

As PAL marks its 76th year, it will be continuing its tradition of service innovation to provide its passengers an overall enhanced travel experience and become a 5-star full-service airline by 2020 with this lineup of exciting initiative­s:

Fleet Modernizat­ion — The first of the eight reconfigur­ed A330s will fly to Honolulu this June. From a 414-seater one- class aircraft, the enhanced A330s will now feature 309 seats for a triclass experience. In Business Class, be the first to experience the Pneumatic Comfort System which allows you to adjust the firmness of your seat and get a relaxing massage thousands of feet above the ground. Experience a new kind of comfort with the redefined Premium Economy Class, with a spacious 38” legroom, a seat that reclines of up to 8 inches, a built in legrest, footrest and calfrest.

Passengers can also expect the incoming Q400 Next Generation for domestic flight services, A321- Neo and the A350s for internatio­nal flights.

Enhanced Inflight Entertainm­ent System — PAL will also be unveiling its upgraded myPAL eSuite in- seat monitors in the newly reconfigur­ed A330s, which provides more media content and boasts of new functions like a direct messaging from the crew and a dedicated option for the kids called “Little PALs” among many others.

New Flights and Hubs — This June, PAL will be commencing its flight from Manila to Kuala Lumpur at 7x weekly. New domestic flights will also be launched on March 26 as part of PAL’s efforts to expand its operations in Cebu and Clark hubs. New daily flights from Cebu include General Santos, Surigao, Puerto Princesa and Coron. From Clark, you can now fly to Puerto Princesa at 3x weekly and to Coron daily.

Swingaroun­d — Passengers can now also look forward to a more convenient travel experience as they can book their airfare and hotel in one go with PAL’s Swingaroun­d. Available in 60 destinatio­ns worldwide at swingaroun­d.

PAL launches its newest campaign, “Stories from the Heart” to feature narratives of passengers, employees and benefactor­s who have experience­d the unique brand of service that can only come from the Heart of the Filipino.
