Nike to launch Flip the Switch
IN LINE with the just-started National Basketball Association Playoffs, global sports apparel brand Nike is set to make available in the country its Flip the Switch shoe collection next month.
Spotlighting the postseason’s electricity with unique fade patterns and broken Swoosh logos, the collection gives the Nike signature shoes of LeBron James and Kyrie Irving of the defending world champions Cleveland Cavaliers, Irving’s “Kyrie 3,” of the Golden State Warriors, and Paul George of the Indiana Pacers common textural elements as well as unique traits connected to each respective athlete’s charge to the championship.
The latest of Mr. James’s popular shoe line, the “LeBron 14” in the Flip the Switch collection, will feature a white and black upper with articulated Zoom Air for cushioning that is fit for the four-time most valuable player and three-time champion’s explosive style of play. It will retail for P8,845.
Teammate Irving’s “Kyrie 3,” meanwhile, will be available in dark grey with a multicolor blue and purple outsole with highlighted traction pods. It will sell for P6,295 a pair.
Back in time for the playoffs after suffering a knee injury, Mr. Durant looks to secure his first NBA title with the Warriors sporting the “KD9 Elite” which boasts of a melange grey Flyknit upper with a midsole gold face running above the full length Zoom Air unit. It will sell for P7,645.
Debuted in January this year, Mr. George’s “PG1” has been creating a buzz both on and off the court. In the Flip the Switch Collection, it is available in dark grey, set off with a bright forefoot strap and midsole fading. The shoe will retail for P5,795.
The Nike Flip the Switch Collection will be available locally starting May 5 at select Nike and Titan stores.
