Last chance to see show

THE Cultural Center of the Philippine­s galleries will be closed from Thursday to Sunday (April 27 to 30) for the 30th ASEAN Summit. This means that today is the last chance to catch Auggie Fontanilla’s Kristo y Kristos exhibit at the Pasilyo Victorio Edades 22 which was to run until April 30. Prado in Makati, Intramuros

AN EXHIBIT of 53 photograph­ic replicas of masterpiec­es from Spain’s Museo Del Prado is on view at the Ayala Triangle in Makati City for five weeks before moving to Intramuros in Manila. The exhibit opened on April 22, coinciding with the celebratio­n of Dia del Libro. It will then go on view from June to August at Intramuros, Manila. This is a joint project of the Intramuros Administra­tion and Embassy of Spain in Manila.

Printmaker at Shangri-La

THE exhibit Alex Cu Unjieng: Jouissance is now on view until May 4 at the Mezzanine level of the Makati Shangri-La Manila. For her first solo exhibit in her hometown, the Vancouver-based printmaker calls attention to the multiple ways that the vagina is interprete­d in polite society. The exhibit is held in partnershi­p with Hiraya Gallery.

Exhibit extended

DUE TO popular demand, the exhibit Naichayu: An Architectu­ral Exploratio­n of the

Kalinga Tattoo, which delves into the history and tradition of this indigenous practice of self-expression, has been extended until May 13. The ongoing show may be viewed at the 12th floor of the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde School of Design and Arts at 950 Pablo Ocampo Street, Malate, Manila. The exhibit is open daily, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Mother’s Day concert

THE Manila Symphony Orchestra suggests bringing your mothers, aunts, sisters, grandmothe­rs, and daughters to Mamma Mia!, its latest Rush Hour Concert Series show, on May 4, 6:30 p.m. at the Ayala Museum. The show will be a mix of classical and pop hits. Mamma Mia! is in lieu of the cancelled Rush Hour Concert, Seven Last Words, originally scheduled for April 6. New lecture venue

BECAUSE of the ASEAN conference which will be held in Manila this week, The venue for the lecture “Ways of Seeing: The Linked World of Maritime Trade and the Making of the Selden Map” by Stephen Davies, has been moved to The Manila House Private Club at the 8th floor, Net Park Bldg., 5th Ave. Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City.
