Iloilo City bypass road ready before end of 2017 — DPWH

-

A NEW four-lane road that will bypass some of the congested parts of Iloilo City will be completed before the end of the year, according to the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH). The P114.461-million project, stretching from Nabitasan in La Paz District to San Rafael in Mandurriao, is seen to cut travel time by 10 to 15 minutes from the Iloilo City downtown area to Benigno S. Aquino, Jr. Avenue. It will serve as an alternative route to the busy Gen. Luna Street. DPWH said the infrastructure will also provide “better road experience to the city’s astonishing historical sites, cultural heritage and natural spots.”
