WORKING in the top hotels locally and internationally before, 25- year- old Anthony John Cava has equipped himself with the knowledge and values that are needed in the hospitality industry. After his stint in one of the luxurious hotels in the country, he thought of opening up his own restaurant. But fate has other plans for him.

Having been in the industry for six years, Mr. Cava has saved enough money to pursue a business that was handed over to him by his aunt. Thus, with so much eagerness, he launched Nail Axis Hand and Foot Spa in March 2014, located at 2/ F, Unit 202, South Insula Building, #61 Timog Ave., Quezon City.

With a degree in Hospitality Management at Enderun Colleges, Mr. Cava has learned that valuing the customers is among the keys to achieve business success.

Aside from the clean and sleek ambiance with music playing in the background, he takes pride in his team giving personalized and first- class luxury service at a reasonable price.

Social media has played a big part for Nail Axis Hand and Foot Spa’s popularity. And the marketing strategy didn’t disappoint as Mr. Cava’s business is doing really well especially because it also caters to events and spa parties like bridal showers and birthdays.

“Starting at P800 per head, minimum of five persons, guests can avail of hand and feet services, with the place already exclusive to them,” Mr. Cava told BusinessWorld in an interview. Its spa event packages are named after popular places — New York, London and Paris — with New York as the cheapest at P3,999 good for five persons and P800 per additional head.

The regular hand and feet packages offered by Nail Axis Hand and Foot Spa are labeled after hotel rooms — Deluxe, Executive and Presidential packages. The Deluxe package provides soak, exfoliating scrub, cleaning, soothing massage and regular polish or buffing for only P220 for the hands and P380 for the feet.

Meanwhi le, the Executive package, which is the best- seller, includes soak, callus removal (feet), exfoliating scrub, cleaning, revital izing mask, ex tended soothing massage and regular polish or buffing for a price of P400 for the hands, P600 for the feet and P999 for both hands and feet.
