-

AVON PHILIPPINES has announced that Emie Aguilar- Nierves, general manager, has made the personal decision to leave Avon and will go into retirement after close to 30 years of committed service. She will continue to oversee Philippines business and ensure smooth transition until her last day with the company on June 30. Ms. Nierves started her direct selling career in the company when she joined as Sales Training Assistant in 1988. Regarded as one of Avon’s high performing Associates because of her exceptional skills and deep understanding of the business, she took on roles of increasing responsibility and was promoted to her current role as general manager in 2015. Her solid leadership and depth of knowledge in direct selling has steered Avon Philippines through internal and external changes and challenges and led it to its present position as a Top 4 Avon market.

Under her leadership, breakthrough successes were achieved in revenue, profits, and Sales KPIs which had earned many recognitions for the Philippines, the latest of which had been the Pillar Award for Business Turnaround and Execution.

Christine Eugenio, currently director for Channel Management, is taking on interim leadership until the new GM is announced.

Ms. Nierves’ commitment to and deep love for the Avon Representatives during her close to 30 years of service have been the cornerstone of her personal success and that of Avon Philippines’ as well. She has been a true inspiration not only for the Representatives but for her colleagues and the Avon Philippines Associates.
