Monsanto Philippines teaches importance of modern farming
MONSANTO Philippines recently held an education session to over 75 young students and orphans at White Cross Orphanage in San Juan, highlighting the contribution of modern farming in growing enough food and in making balanced plate accessible to everyone. Monsanto’s education session, among others, involved a special digital storytelling of the animated children’s book Lina’s Town Rises
Again, a model story of Conching Reyes, a female farmer from Sultan Kudarat who helped her town successfully recover from a devastating typhoon through the use of modern and sustainable farming methods. Monsanto Philippines is further committed in expanding the talk on the importance of sustainable agriculture in schools and colleges across the country.
