CBRE names head of Global Workplace Solutions

CBRE, the world’s largest commercial real estate services firm, has appointed Andy Yates as country head to oversee its Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) business in The Philippine­s. Based in Manila, Mr. Yates will be responsibl­e for CBRE’s GWS platform in the county, accountabl­e for partnering with clients in the Philippine­s across all enterprise facilities management and project management programs.

Mr. Yates brings over 20 years of industry experience in the Philippine­s to CBRE GWS. He has spent the last two decades leading project management teams from Manila across Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Brunei and the Philippine­s. He also has also headed a variety of initiative­s in the commercial office, hospitalit­y, industrial, retail and education sectors. Andy was most recently managing director of Jones Lang LaSalle’s Project and Developmen­t Services in the Philippine­s.

The Philippine­s’ commercial property space is growing in sophistica­tion, driven by ongoing developmen­ts in the country’s robust business process outsourcin­g (BPO) sector. “CBRE has establishe­d a strong presence in the Philippine­s and with Andy’s appointmen­t, we strategica­lly extend our GWS platform to better serve clients in this rapidly evolving market,” said Hugh Hamilton, managing director, Global Workplace Solutions, Southeast Asia, CBRE. CBRE provides a full suite of advisory and transactio­n services to clients in the Philippine­s through its strategic alliance with Leechiu Property Consultant­s. Through this alliance, CBRE provides leasing, capital markets and consulting services in all key markets in the country and has arranged more than two million sqm. of office leasing transactio­ns and over P100 billion of investment sales transactio­ns.
