Satisfaction with top officials moderate to good — SWS poll
SATISFACTION ratings of Vice-President Maria Leonor G. Robredo and Senate President Aquilino Martin L. Pimentel III rose from moderate to good, while House Speaker Pantaleon D. Alvarez and Chief Justice Maria Lourdes P.A. Sereno stayed in the moderate area, according to the Second Quarter 2017 Social Weather Survey by the Social Weather Stations.
The noncommissioned survey was conducted from June 23 to 26, using face- to- face interviews of 1,200 adults nationwide (300 each in Metro Manila, Balance of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, with sampling error margins of ±3% for national percentages and ±6% each for the said geographical areas.
Ms. Robredo’s net satisfaction of +36 (60% satisfied and 24% dissatisfied) recovered 10 points from her +26 in March and reverses her considerable decline from September 2016, when she scored +49 followed by +37 in December that year.
Mr. Pimentel rose 4 points to +33 (53% satisfied and 20% dissatisfied) last June, from +37, +30, and +29 between September last year and March this year.
“Speaker Alvarez’s net satisfaction rating stayed moderate, at +16 in June, up by 4 points from +12 (37% satisfied, 25% dissatisfied) in March,” SWS said. “Chief Justice Sereno’s net satisfaction rating also stayed moderate, at +21 in June, up by 7 points from +14 (37% satisfied, 23% dissatisfied) in March.”
Net satisfaction ratings by the SWS are as follows: +70 and above, “excellent”; +50 to +69, “very good”; +30 to +49, “good”; +10 to +29, “moderate”, +9 to -9, “neutral”; -10 to -29, “poor”; -30 to -49, “bad”; -50 to -69, “very bad”; -70 and below, “execrable.”
