Groups band together to enhance e-Gaming scene
RECOGNIZING the burgeoning e- Gaming scene in the country and its still immense position for growth, TNC Gaming, SYBER, and High Grounds Café recently announced their partnership to further propel e- Sports here.
Held at the High Grounds Café in Quezon City last week, the three groups formally announced their partnership that will see them hold various activities designed to complement the flourishing electronic Sports scene not only in the Philippines but also in other parts of the Asian region, including Indonesia, Malaysia, and China.
Their end game with the tie- up, the groups said, is to promote the growth and development of e- Sports by creating an exciting, challenging, and high- end environment where the e- Gaming community can do what it does best.
Among the activities the groups will stage is the New Blood Championships ( NBC), which will give aspiring DOTA 2 ( Defense of the Ancients) players the chance to break into the scene.
The NBC is set to have a Philippine leg later this year.
TNC Gaming is an e- Sports organization that was founded by a passionate group of gamers who share the common goal of increasing the visibility of e- Sports in the Philippines. It allows gamers the chance to partake in highlevel competitions by handling gaming teams and organizing tournaments around the country.
SYBER, meanwhile, is a Malaysian-based e- Sports outlet that provides gamers and enthusiasts with an exciting, challenging, and premium quality environment that seeks to stimulate the development of the sport in Southeast Asia.
High Grounds Café, for its part, is the first and only fully branded, high-end gaming café in the Philippines. It differentiates itself from other internet shops and cyber cafes in the country, by providing gamers with a premium, top- notch environment that is powered by TNC, the top gaming brand in the Philippines, and gaming computer giant, Acer Predator. —
