MIDEA Philippines launches next-generation VRF System
Midea has unveiled the perfect combination of technology and innovation through the launch of its next-generation VRF system, the Midea V6 at a special event held in Shangri-La The Fort Manila on August 2, 2017. More than 150 strategic partners, including architects, engineers, developers, dealers and other key decision makers, took part.
Midea’s uncompromising commitment to quality makes it possible to offer the local market a higher level of satisfaction with any of their product offerings. Testament to this is its monumental partnership with Concepcion Midea Inc. Philippines (CMIP), a subsidiary of Concepcion Industrial Corporation (CIC). The joint-venture was formed towards the end of 2013, and since then, it has grown tremendously. Overall, the group took major steps toward becoming a leading global player in consumer appliances, Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (HVAC) systems, and even robotics.
Midea has established sales distribution in the country, and expanded sales through the Concepcion Midea organization. The updated new products and improvement of after-sales service will help Midea penetrate the growing VRF market from medium-scale projects to large-scale and also government-related projects.
Today, the focus is in really on air conditioning. Rise in urban population and unprecedented growth in infrastructure developments are driving factors in the rise in demand for HVAC products in the country. The local economy was driven by overseas investment and tourism. The population continues to grow and has strong purchasing power. The local market is expected to sustain this growth momentum in the long run.
Midea’s V6 VRF technology is the future air conditioning. Since the invention of VRF 30 years ago, the technology is now gaining attention world over, particularly in Southeast Asia.
The Midea V6 offers larger capacity and reduced footprint. Currently Midea V6 has the world’s largest capacity with single module outdoor unit at 38HP and a combination capacity at 128HP.
At the same time, the V6 provides a 40% reduction in footprint compared to the previous generation. With the integration of EMS (energy management system), V6 would be able to adjust evaporating temperature (in cooling) and condensing temperature (in heating) to maximize the comfort and energy efficiency automatically.
V6 is able to work within a wide operation range from -5°C to 54°C, which provides constant comfort even in extreme condition. The other features are high efficiency, high reliability, an intelligent control system that connects with any intelligent building system using the new IMM pro platform, and a Mr. Doctor functionality that allows the V6 system to automatically test, self-diagnosis, and display error codes.
“As Midea continues to develop new product technologies along with highly advanced manufacturing capabilities, and coupled with Concepcion’s local distribution and after market strength, we have no doubt that the Midea brand will be a major player in the local AC market.” says Mr. Phillip F. Trapaga, CMIP General Manager.
